AIC was great... the venue not-so-much.
The band kept the energy level up the whole time, with vocals, guitars, and drums on-point. AIC started off with some older work, and the second half of the set included songs from their new album.
Unfortunately, the stage set-up left much to be desired. I saw for the most part two band members at a time, as the speakers blocked half of the stage so people in the wings could see approximately 40-60% of the stage. The sound crew didn't have it quite right, as the vocals were drowned out by the instruments about 70% of the time. It was hard-pressed to hear the sweet harmony the band can put out.
But then again, the performance was still good. I'm a bit disappointed that the songs with the sweetest harmony ("No Excuses", "Heaven Beside You", "I Stay Away") weren't performed.
